  • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • When done, double-click on its icon.
  • Open the Tool Hub. 

Step 2: Access the File Doctor 

  • Open the tool hub.
  • Select Company File Issues.
  • Select Run QuickBooks, File Doctor. 
  • Wait for a few minutes. 
  • Once open, select your company file.
  • Select Browse. Locate the file. 
  • Select Check your file and Network.
  • Click on Continue.
  • Enter your admin password.
  • Click Next.
  • Now, check for the error.

Solution 2: Install Database Server Manager

  • Close QuickBooks.
  • Download this setup file ( Setup_QuickBooks.exe). Open it.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen.
  • Keep your product or license numbers ready. 
  • Choose an installation type.
  • Select “Custom” or “Network Options.” 
  • Click “Next.” Avoid selecting “Express.”Choose the best option. Click "Next." 
  • Both choices will install the Database Server Manager.
  • Select “I’ll be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer, AND I’ll store our company file here for network sharing” to keep both the Database Server Manager and QBDT on the server.
  • Select “I will NOT be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer” if only the server manager is on the server.
  • Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
  • Click "Install" when you're ready.
  • Make sure to give the QBDataServiceUserXX permission to access the company file folder.
